Hand 1: Good. Ace high is calling you here.

Hand 2: Meh... I think you're getting called down by a PP personally.

first one looks good.

second one i don't think you're ahead often enough when called. if that T were a 4 then it's closer. i value bet AK the other day, but the board was like 33428 - and it was against a real donk.

That 4 is a 4?

I agree with you though.

And the first one looks good. Pounding on opponents in hand 2 worked about 6 months ago, but not lately so I've stopped doing it.

yeah i misread the hand. mixed em up.

If that's the case isn't 54492 (the board you might bet on) similar to 42296. And are you saying the reason you bet on the 54492 board is because they're more likely to call you down with ace high when the flop is paired and ragged?

I like hand 1 but not hand 2. I'd actually like hand 2 better if you somehow had KQ in that situation.

well i think you also need a read to bet here. i said (mistakenly) if the T were a 4 it would be closer, but against an unknown i think it's not a profitable bet. if you'd ever seen him call a river bet with A/K high, then yeah, that board is definitely ragged enough to bet your nut high card.
