I'm looking to start investing money, but don't know where to start. Are there any good books or websites that provide a general overview of personal investment? Thanks.

Well the popular advice on this forum is buy what's called an exchange traded fund most notably something the mirrors on of the major averages like the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, QQQ the NASDAQ 100. I'd buy a basic book if I was start out like you are.
