i know i should have put in another raise somewhere, which originally was gonna be the river...but i wussed out. so guidance is much appreciated.

This is really automatic dude. No offense...this isn't a 10/20 question. It's a .50/1 question.

The only reason I don't 3-bet the flop in a situation like this is so that I can raise his inevitable turn bet. You're going to get a lot more action when you open from the button, you have to be comfortable with being played back at by KJo, etc.
