$20 spent on tickets, none with Powerball and best I did was 2 numbers twice.

Oh, my friends and I spent about 25 bucks on tix and I think we won back 3 bucks by matching one of the powerballs. It was funny, one of our tickets had all the numbers right except the powerball, but they were in the wrong order.

Yes.

For most lotteries, each number can be drawn only once, so the order is irrelevant (except for the "powerball" or whatever the "special" number is called - it comes from a second pool of numbers - that's what increases the odds for a powerball drawing).

Edit: An explained joke is never as funny, is it?

this is one of two things I miss about Indiana. Powerball lottery and the smallmouth bass are the only things I miss now that I live in Florida.

There was a pretty big lotto jackpot about two years ago that was split between 5 people I think. The lotto people investigated and found that all of the people had gotten the winning numbers from a fortune cookie at Chinese restaurants.

Well, 2345 would probably make a shitty pick 4 even outside of chicago.

I heard of one lotto being effed up after the numbers formed an upside down triangle on the picking sheets. Also, pick numbers higher than 31, they increase your EV. ha.
