Villain in this hand is not rediculous (28/10/1) or horribly bad yet. I had previously won two pots with PFR and C/B's within the last 6 hands.

I had not been at the table overly long at this point (maybe 30 hands) so did not have a firm grip on his aggression levels or what he would 3-bet with. It is definately possible he might play back at me with KQ or AQ given he has seen me playning very aggro post-flop previously (but not seen my cards). I couldn't tell where I stood when he 3-bet me. Yucky feeling.

fold is fine, wellplayed.

most AQs raise preflop 5 handed, especially if his pfr is 10.

Getting 6.5:1 with the backdoor nut flush draw and possibly the best hand (in position, no less), I think I'd certainly see the turn. I'm not convinced hero is crushed here.

you have position and its only $10 more to you, CALL!

I'm going to be a nit and say that "its only $10 more to you" is not the important thing to focus on. I'll let others elaborate (because I'm on my way out the door).

i understand that.. i think the important thing to focus on is that hero has position, an overpair, the A /images/graemlins/spade.gif, aaand its only $10 more in a pot that is already ~$45

folding here is extremely weak, imho.

I'll go over why I think this is a fold.

inorder for this to be a call, we have to know hat villain is capable of this with 77-jj. his pfr is an amount that I think he raises preflop with TT and JJ , maybe even 88 and 99. I think this is also possible with something like 87s or perhaps 56.

trouble is, if we call, there are almost no turn card which will make us comfortable calling a turn lead from villain.

I guess I hate calling and just hoping that villain checks to us on the turn.

if we think that villain is capable of this move with just the flush draw, then calling becomes better, but because you have the As and villain is described as fairly decent, I find it unlikely that he is on flush draw.

that's why I'd fold it. it's very unlikely that you trip up on the turn card and you're not likely to see a free river
