SNG $10+1 NL, 15/30, 6 players left

Hero: $1400 Big blind, 3rd place.
Villain: $1600 Button, 2nd place, aggressive.

Fold to villain on button. Villain min raise. SB folds. Hero big blind QJo calls.

Flop QJx rainbow. Hero checks. Villain bet $300. Hero calls.

Turn QJxA no flush draw. Hero checks. Villain bet $400. Hero raises $900. Villain calls. Hero realizes his mistake.

River QJxAx no flush. Hero checks. Villain bets AI. Hero has $200, crippled if fold. What should hero do?

Flop QJx rainbow. Hero checks. Villain bet $300. Hero check-raises, or just folds -- who cares, its a 135 chip pot.

Hero pushes when he wants to raise more than 40% of his stack, automatically never reaching the river problem in the first place.

"Hero folds pre-flop" is the best line here.

Oh, and welcome to the forums.

Thanks.

Ermmm.....

I know it's early in the tourni, but folding QJo BB against a agressive player button min raise, 80% on a steal attempt, isn't that a bit weak tight?

The fold 2 pair? This guy plays with Ace high.

If he's been v. aggressive I think a button minraise screams ' I want action'.

I dont think I would fold either preflop, but I would go for the check raise on the flop. And simply either push the turn or check/fold.

I don't like the check/raise on the turn since that puts you with only 200 left and you have 1260 already in the pot, no way you are getting out of this on the river so a push instead of the check raise would be better if you decide to go that way.

Fold PF.

C/R the flop. There is a good chance that the flop either hit the villain or they at least have a straight draw.

I've found that flopping two pair in the BB should rarely be slowplayed.

Min raise was an alarm. Villain has bullets.

Wow. I am all for being a push monkey on the bubble, but if you can't play postflop competently, your ROI will suffer. There is some very awful advice in this post. Specifically the folding the flop part.
