villain is 77/26/2. I've been running over the table, occasionally I've been checkraised and folded. I'm confused

How do you put him on a hand? I think maybe a gutter that got there. Slowplayed set? Delayed bluff (yes he's bad but I folded when another player did this a few hands ago, villain commented on it)? Fold this shiz or call? Why?

i fold to the c/r without a stellar read.

why didn't u check behind on the turn? i prefer check behind turn, and call reasonable bet on most rivers.

File this under: NL25 checkraise on the turn means big hand. Fold. Move on to next hand. NL25 opponents love to scream at you when they have a big hand. This is why they checkraise. Many people get confused by the screaming, thinking an NL25 opponent is being clever and aggressive. Don't get confused. Barring an amazing read, this is a fold every time.

why check the turn? i feel villain will call down with any part of the flop, and he hasn't shown any strength yet. probably turned the straight. given his pfa he would raise bigger hands before the flop.

Checking the turn keeps the pot smaller and more under control. Sure the villan may have a lone 7 or 8, or some sort of marginal draw. But I'm willing to sacrifice the possibility of that draw in order to keep the pot smaller.

Betting the turn= bloating the pot, and by the river, you don't want to be facing a big bet with your one pair.
