Not bad but I don't see the point of having level one 60 minutes long.

Its a long structure, which I like, although I find your jumps in limits rather ecentric. Also, where do you go after 25/50, since the tourney is unlikely to end there?

A good way to try and figure out the length of tourney and the pressure the blinds put on the players is to look at the blinds in comaparison to the number of chips in play. With 20 players and a limit of one rebuey you might figure a total of 32 or so buy-ins, With unlimited rebuys and only a ten dollar buy-in you have to think you'll hit at least 40 and maybe a more buy ins. (Unless the blind structure at 1/2 for the whole rebuy period is so forgiving that you don't have many bust outs)

Anyway, at 40 buy ins you have 4000 chips in play. At 25/50 that's 80 times the big blind. With 80 BB's you're still likely to have 6-8 players still in. So you have to figure on this tourney going for a while longer.

that doesnt make any sense....if there are 6 players left and the chips are evenly distributed with no short stacks, that would leave each player with only 13BB in their stack

you dont think that would end the tournament having only 13 BB for each player?

Straight from 10-20 to 25-50 doesn't make much sense. The gap is too big, include a 15-30 level in between those.

Also, change your 4-8 level to 3-6 so the progression is more linear.

If the players are good, you WILL need at least a 50-100 level at the end to keep it from dragging on too long.

No, in my experience, playing in two different home tourneys that run 16-25 people, although admittedly there is some crossover so I suppose it could simply be this group, when the stacks get small people start scrathing and clawing to stay alive. Not unusual to see a number of people with 7-14 BB's hanging around. Its not like online where people seem to go oh, I've go 9 BB's time to push. They try to hang on longer.

That said, if you got say, 3 way at that point, that's 27 or so BB's per person and you can go a lont time three handed with stacks that size.

i completely agree about adding a 15-30 level, and have added it.

the reason there is no 3-6 level is because last time i included it, and the tournament ran prohibitively long, so the 3-6 level seemed most expendable

how about updating it to look like this -

Blind Levels

1-2 (60 Minutes)

2-4 (30 Minutes)

***5 Minute Break***

4-8 (30 Minutes)

5-10 (30 Minutes)

***5 Minute Break & Color Up Chips***

10-20 (30 Minutes)

15-30 (20 Minutes)

25-50 (20 Minutes)

50-100 (20 Minutes)

75-150 (20 Minutes)
