It's not really for him, but I held his favorite hand so what the hell. This was a few days ago so I don't remember the reads I had on the players.

Party 10/20 9max. Game is 6 handed at the moment.

Hijack raises, SB calls, I call in the BB with 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif6 /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

Flop is 5 /images/graemlins/club.gif4 /images/graemlins/heart.gif3 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Checked to LP who bets, SB calls, I raise, both call.

Turn is T /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Check, I bet, LP folds, SB calls.

River is 4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Check, and...

Including the Phil Hellmuth reference, this is the very definition of standard /images/graemlins/smile.gif

i think if SB had a straight draw you might have him high carded anyway, and i think if he has a pair hes calling, depending on your read he might be calling with an ace, i think a read on SB is very important here, what do you put him on that hes folding?

maybe overs?

I highly doubt you have villian high carded here.

yeah probly not, i guess if he has a straight draw hes likely only using one of his cards and the other is higher, im just trying to think of what he calls the turn with that hes folding on the river and how often this will work, is he drawing 1 in 8 times? maybe this is profitable, i dont know

I think Hero places villain on Ax and figures betting the river oughta turn a profit.

Can you believe lately I'm playing so disciplined at canterbury I folded that hand the last time I was there? I know, I can't believe it either. Just take my word for it. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Without a read on SB I can't fully decide what to do here. Would SB call down with any pair? Is he the type to peel on the flop with overcards (and stay in when another of his suit hits the turn)? More direction please... without any read I'd bet the river however and expect to loose 1/2 the time.

Ugh, you folded!?! I didn't even think you folded that hand at 80/160.

I somewhat remember SB being too loose preflop and probably having a wide range of flop calling hands.

I would not check-raise the field on the flop.

Good river bet.

I like the flop checkraise because it may very well be for value against two players anyway, and it gives me a decent chance to win unimproved. I'll generally get LP to fold his overcards on the turn given that my CR in a protected pot seems fairly strong.
