I'll be playing at least one of the Wednesday events, not 100% sure which one just yet. Played both last week, but this time I'm working 12-8pm, plus Jenn is either working 4-10:30pm or 3-9:30pm.

Wish I could get in on the NA vs. EU challenge, looks like a lot of fun (and god knows I love to brag, or whine about my bad luck)

Unfortunately I work a double on Sundays, so I'll barely be able to play the free Blogger event at Stars, let alone another tourney against tough opponents at the same time.

I'm signed up for the Pacific tourney. Jenn is getting out at 9:30pm Eastern Time tonight. I figure that if I play the Atlantic and I'm still alive at that point, the blinds and antes will be too high for me to just sit out while I head down to her work to pick her up.

Sorry fellow Atlanteans? Guess I'll have to come in 7th another time, w00t!

I logged in ~.00005 seconds too late for Atlantic. Rat farts!

Oh well, I'll give my chips to those that meet me in the Pacific later. Well, all but BunnyBobMcLastPlace.

I saw poor SeaSiren with K/10 against K/J on a board of 9/10/Q/10. She pushed on the turn and her opponent took quite awhile to call. Tough hand, money is bound to go in there.

Looking forward to playing the Pacific, although work was sucky today and I'm pretty beat (i.e. I'll just use that excuse when I'm first out)

My short Pacific report (21 players)

Marwan takes the chip lead, picks up K/K in the CO and raises, Dr Jekyl re-raises on the button with A/K. Gets re-raised and pushes. Rivers the runner-runner straight to double up.

SeaSiren has J/5 sooted in the SB and limps for 100 into my BB where I hold A/7. She has 280 behind and I push and she calls. Spikes a spade draw but never hits it and is out.

The final table just convenes as I’m dealt A/Q in the BB. Jwp22 raises in EP with 8/8 and I push all-in, he calls. Board provides no relief and I’m sent packing in 9th place. But, my THIRD final table in 2+2 events, and I’ve only played 3 of em! We’re talking fields of 14, 15 and even 21 players! Don’t you ever forget this, I’m the greatest “playa eva!”

Wow Jekyl... nice job cashing in both. Too bad I couldn't have been there to donate to the balloon fund. Perhaps next week.

Hitting FW tonight, if anyone has a hankering. Crunchster, Daryn, JoeTall, and others will be there.

This was really fun by the way. Too bad Irie drew me out there at the end when I flopped two pair or I'd have been the champ. Looking forward to next week.

By the way, why did Irie get a buy when I had to win two matches just to cash? He only had to win a single match to make the money. Does pokerstars randomly choose byes or did I just get screwed for being a newbie?

Doc doesn't like to admit it, but he actually does ticky the radio button option on Stars' private tourney creation screen - the option labelled "screw noobs". Not getting a bye is just one of the fun effects /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mega,

at least I didnt try to make excuses about being "tired." I had a chip lead on Irie till the break. I noticed a hole in his game and I knew what he thought of me. Thus, I called a raise with a weaker hand, flopped good, got him all in and he hit a miracle card. End of story. By the way, he claims that my HU game has leaks but won't elaborate. He raises waaaay to much from the BB out of position and is easy to manhandle.

Hoorah the noobs blue. They might even believe your crap for the first 10 seconds. Next week you suppose I should check the "Tournament organizers start with 2000 chips" box?
