Dammit... I've actually been listening to MM for the last 3 hours or so and I still can't say what my answer would be. I can say that it wouldn't be any of the songs already mentioned, though.

This is really good too. By far the best live performance when I saw them.

Well, now you've done three, so I'll put Trailer Trash in the mix.

Tough question: maybe "Gravity Rides Everything?" Or no wait, maybe "Tiny Cities Made of Ashes." It's probably from M&A, though. Unless it's "Bury Me With It."

'cowboy dan' performed live as an encore at smaller shows before they were filled with the larger % of tools and douchebags that they are now.

maybe the best thing ever. sucks so different now.

You're pretty good at this game. I got a little "Make Everyone Happy/Mechanical Birds" for you though.

So far, I'm going with something from this list, which is sure to be incomplete and in no particular order:

Teeth Like God's Shoeshine
Trailer Trash
Float On
Lounge
Doin' the Cockroach
Cowboy Dan
Out of Gas
Polar Opposites
Head South
Custom Concern

I think a more appropiate thread is "worst" modest mouse song.

All of these songs I'm like..."hmm yeah, definitely one of their best."

As long we can agree that anything from Sad Sapppy Sucker doesn't count as a "song" then I agree. I have them on shuffle right now and 1 of 3 is worthy of being mentioned.

Custom Concern, Talkin' [censored] About A Pretty Sunset, and Teeth Like God's Shoeshine are all close for me, with the nod probably going to the last one.

I saw them live for the first time a couple weeks ago. Dramamine was really amazing live. I was very impressed with their setlist too.

As to favorite I really don't know. It looks like most people agree that lonesome crowded west is their best album, with about half the nominees comming from here. One of the best things about Modest Mouse is they are very consistent, while still being able to vary their sound.

I've been listneing to 'Other People's Lives' the most of any Modest Mouse song recently, so it'd be my current vote, but the point of this post is to ask a question.

Can anyone explain what 'Teeth Like God's Shoeshine' is about?
Great song, wierd but.
