Live 5/10, table is LAGish

(Some preflop details may be off because of hazy memory)

Hero is SV with Q9s

Folded to CO (LAG) who raises
Hero Calls
BB Folds (5 SB)

Flop: QQ9

Hero checks, Villian Bets, Hero Check-Raises, Villian Calls
(6.5 BB)

Turn: x

Hero Bets, Villian Calls (8.5 BB)

River: x

Hero Bets, Villian Calls (10.5 BB)

Hero wins with boat, villian mucks.

The only thing that is bugging me is that I think I should have check-called the flop, then check-raised the river, getting an extra BB in there.

Toughts?

I would have bet/called the flop and bet/three bet the turn or check/raise the turn either or.

I think I bet/call the flop and then donk the turn looking to bet/3-bet.

I should also note villian is a 2+2er. Any difference?

You left out one critical piece of information: the color of the chips.

-the player to your immediate left (I believe).

wasn't there somthing like 2 straddles also in this hand? I think the pot on the flop may have been bigger. Bet the flop.

I thought we were heads up preflop, I think this was one of the few hands that had no straddles, but I had a few beers in me so you might be right.

Who was the villian in this hand? I can't remember, I think it was whoever was sitting to evan's left. What did you have?

So everyone says bet the flop, but when I flop a boat doesn't that mean there is little chance villian caught any part of the flop? I figured a check/call or check/raise would let him see the turn and possibly catch something so I could get some more money out of him. Is this incorrect?

Thanks for all the coments so far.

Easy fold preflop.

Once in the hand, isn't the line to check-call the flop and either donk-3bet the turn or C/R the turn depending on read of villan's aggression?
