One More Time: This poll only includes movies that Disney designated for their *Masterpiece Collection*. No Pixar movies (Monsters Inc), no *other* Disney animated movies (Ducktales, Song of the South), no non-Disney animations (NIMH).

Unfortunately my 2nd (Fox and the Hound), 3rd (Fantasia), and 4th (Sword in the Stone) favorites are gone. Go Robin Hood /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I said it last round, I'll say it again, Jungle book losing to any other disney movie would be outrageous.

Pretty straight forward for me this round. There wasn't a single matchup I had to think twice about.

Robin Hood
Snow White
Jungle Book (Although I love Alice)
Aladdin
Sleeping Beauty
Lion King (Got an easy draw IMO)

Jungle Book rules all. We even named our dog Mowgli.

I think we need to adopt one of the song as the official OOT theme.

so 'trust in me', 'I wanna be like you', or 'the bear necessities'....

This has got JUNGLE BOOK vs ROBIN HOOD written all over it !

Bare Necessities is one of the greatest songs ever. King Loui's I wanna be like you song is funnier because the animation is such a riot while he's singing it.

I think this is too status-conscious a crowd for something like Bare Necessities though. Maybe "trust in me" has a sort of [card game] tilt to it.

That's kind of a fun idea though. If we took all Disney movies, of all their songs, what would be the best theme for OOT?

Everybody Wants to Be a Cat leaps to mind. Very funny and upbeat, and seems to fit the striking it rich [card game] dream.

Oh, good call. I'm sure 'a very happy unbirthday' must be a special mention though, given JakeTheBake's birthday propensities.

Jungle Book wins.

Lion King beating Beauty and the Beast is an absolute travesty.

I don't love either one, but B & B is a chick flick.

On another note, Robin Hood in a dead heat with Peter Pan? Gross.
Come on people, ooh de la lee.

Agreed that B&B is a chick flick and that RH beats PP.

That's nice and all, but it's still *better* than Lion King.

I thought The Lion King was pretty good. I'm scared to see B&B because the sound of Angela Lansbury makes me want to heave, and not in a good way.

If "Fantasia' isn't included, it's not worth bothering with.

The Lion King vs. Aladdin is going to be interesting, because they are the modern powerhouses. Lion King should easily win though, as it should easily win this competition. The Jungle Book has been incredibly overhyped on this forum. It's fun, it's cute, it's charming, but it is no masterpiece. I'm glad Alice is keeping up, because that's a spectacular and very underrated drug trip- err movie.
