Ran into a guy I hadn't seen for many years. Played against each other in the 80's in Bozeman, Mt.

There was a young college guy we played against. Played real fast, in fact so fast he had to start dealing to stay in action.

Anyway he headed to Vegas to deal and play. Didn't work out real well for him. Bill told me Dalles died in the streets of Vegas, alone, homeless, a crackhead.

It had stopped snowing shortly before I started walking home. It was still, very bueatiful. The only sound was me walking through the snow. I kept trying to think of how bad I played but couldn't get Dalles out of my mind. He would have been in his 40s today had he lived.

Sad story, but there is nothing you could do. Looks like his psychological need to play fast ran deep and manifested itself all kinds of ways.

I like hot weather a lot more than snow. But I like the sound of walking through fresh snow at night, particularly if everything else is quiet.
