I've been thinking about about depositing money at ACR and taking advantage of their promotional offers. They sound kinda sweet. Does anybody have anything good or bad to say about this site lately. I've been watching the traffic and it seems like it's picked up a bit recently.

I would specifically would like to have information about the Omaha H/L game($1/2 there that seems to be running often) Does playing at this level help qualify raked hands to get the bonus??

The main reason I'm apprehensive about depositing there is that I few months ago, I remember seeing almost no traffic there at all.

Am I correct in being wary???

There are almost always at least 2 O8 games running at acr, typically at $.5/1 and $1/2. A few times a week a $2/4 will break out. Haven't seen anything higher than that in many months. There are generally more holdem games running there but the highest I've seen or played in regularly is $4/8. I guess once in a while a $10/20 shorthanded will break out. The traffic is lite but there are holdem and omaha8 games running there almost all the time.

Your raked hands reduce promobucks at any limit every day up till 6 pm cst. Then on Tues, Wed, Fri and Sat they don't because acr runs a hands played promo for more promobucks during that time. If you play $2/4 or higher those hands always reduce promobucks in fact they remove 2 promo hands for every flop seen.

I have calculated that if you play 2/4 and see about 25% of the flops and they play around 60 hands per hour you will convert promobucks to cash at a rate of about $5/hour. I know that is confusing but if you have more questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the info, Beernutz.

I am a little confused about this promobucks deal. Are you saying that if you see about 25% of the flops on a $1/2 table you would make $5/hour towards your bonus, and since their bonus maxes out at $100 does that mean it will take about 20 hrs to qualify for the bonus??

Also, do you have any experience in using their sportsbook??
I've been playing a little at wsex lately and was wondering if theirs might also be good, offer perks, etc.

I knew what I wrote was going to require more 'splainin'.

Promobucks are typically awarded in $25 increments. To convert this $25 promobucks to $25 cash you need to see 200 raked flops (you must be in the hand at the flop and it must be a raked hand). You have to be in at least the $.5/1 and there must be at least 3 people at the table for the flopped hand to count toward the 200 you need. A perk for playing $2/4 or higher is that seeing a flopped hand removes 2 promobucks (so you only need to see 100 flopped raked hands to get the $25).

Another factor: four days a week (Tu, We, Fr, and Sa) ACR has a promo period where you can earn more promobucks. During these nightly periods you must play at least $2/4 to have hands count toward the 200 needed to release promobucks.
I hope that is clear so far. That is really all the information you need.

The calculation that confused you is one I did to see how long it would take, approximately, to actually turn the $25 promobucks into $25 cash. If I recall correctly I figured an hourly rate of a little less than $5, assuming certain conditions which I outlined in my last post. I just wanted to see if it was worth it to actually continue to play there and try to turn some of my promobucks to cash. If this is your confort level (around $2/4) and you can actually find a game at that level being played I think acr is a good low, risk way to make some cash. The good news about acr is that although their cashouts (I always use Neteller now) take a couple of days I've never had a problem cashing out there in over 40 times.

I know I must sound like their biggest cheerleader but actually I'm finding myself playing there less and less because there just aren't that many games played at the level I want to play. I fear there is going to be a shakeup there if things don't improve.

I have only used their sportsbook, betcris, when I won some of the free play bets acr used to give away regularly a long time ago. From what I understand they are highly regarded as a sportsbook, but this is just some word-of-mouth I've picked up. I'm pretty sure the sportsbook is the bankroll behind acr.
