As I stepped up to 5/10 6max recently I decided its time to reread some books. Here is what I find in Ciaffone's one : (not exact quotation):
"However set over set is rare its so expensive to be on the lower end that you would be better off playing low pairs only in late position if its cheap"
As at 5/10 its not so easy to double up with set vs TP or overpair I think set over set is more important. On the other hand I just cant fold 22-55 in any position...
So far I raised any pair from any position if first to enter (except UTG). I set over setted sb 2times and was on the lower end once. All 3 situations aroused when sb opened for a raise with lowe pair and was called by higher one.

Thoughts ?

I totally disagree with his quote - if it is so rare, then it only takes away part of the high implied odds these hands have when they hit.

when you play online, the effective stack is often only about 100bb. When the effective stack is 200bb or more, this applies.
