i just started on a quest to reap many bonuses from many online poker joints
does anybody know of any places to avoid?

Avoid Propoker and Sunrise. Also avoid Pacific if you are play low limit as the games are painfully slow and it will take you forever to fulfill the requirement.

Party, Empire, Paradise, UB, BigBet, Pokerpot, Stars (this wknd only), Pokerclub, Gaming Club Poker, America's Cardroom, and Pokerroom.com all have good 1st deposit bonuses. Absolutepoker also has a 35% bonus but they make you leave your money on the site for a month which stinks so i haven't done it.
