MP1 was new at the table. Everyone else was passive, either tight or slightly on the loose side. What do I do vs. the raise & all-in raise, and what should I have done if MP3 had folded?

3-bet the flop for value.

That was obvious, wasn't it? [censored].

I'm just learning this stuff but on the Turn: Sure somebody could have the random nut straight/draw, but wouldn't you put yourself at about 6 outs on the turn? Seems like it would have been break even to call that with ~12 big bets in the pot?

I think 6 outs is a gross over-estimate here... on this dangerous of a board, you have to discount your outs like mad. I have a 1-card draw to the bottom end of a straight. 3 outs max.

Hi SlantNGo. I 3-bet the flop.

The way you played it I don't mind a turn lead, but I'm probably finding enough 2-pair/straight/set outs to see the river.

I may even make a sanity call UI if the board doesn't get scarier and I'm not overcalling. People have been known to overplay in big pots, but folding is probably fine since you're not very likely to to have the best hand UI and will sometimes beat MP1 but only drag the side pot.

Haha, I know someone's probably chimed in on this already but why didn't you 3-bet the flop?

Since it's two bets back to hero on the turn, he's only getting 15:2 or 7.5:1.

I 3-bet the flop. Put the money in as long as you have the best hand.

bad fold. I'm playing in this same level and see even passive opponents take stabs at pots. besides, what are you worried that MP1 has? MP3's all-in doesnt worry me too much. 3-bet flop. IMO, you've got to get to showdown with this hand.

Wow... I don't get this at all. I'm not sure of the best line, but I can't see folding here vs. an unknown. Maybe 3-bet the flop and go from there? MP3 doesn't really affect me here, it's only MP1 that I'm worried about. I'm interested to read what others think, but I think the fold is really bad. I do get attached to my overpairs, though.
