View Full Version : Anyone remember that internet game Acrophobia?

Or maybe is was spelled differently. It was a free game and very simple to play, yet addictive as hell.

You were playing against like 5-15 other players, and would try to guess what a random string of letters stood for. For example, you'd be given EGGHBD. You might guess Even Good Girls Have Bad Days.

All of the guesses would be submitted and you would vote for the best submission...there are some witty folks out there and some of the submissions would be freaking hilarious.

The two players with the highest scores would have a playoff that was pretty intense, and then a new game would start.

The interface was slick as heck and it was just a blast to play. Then, all of a sudden, it just disappeared.

Does anyone remember playing this game? Is it still around? Is a similar version available?

Uproar.com. For some reason hardly anybody is playing. What happened to it? It used to be a lot more busy.

I think the game is available online right now, but you have to pay for it. I can't remember where I found it, but maybe google. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I found it a few months ago, don't have a URL, sorry.

Thank you, Army Eye. I registered (bogus email to avoid tons of spam) and am ready to start my first game. Awesome.

I know the creator of this game. He opened up a few companies and had very good games. His name used to be Anthony Shubert. He miraculously decided to have a sex change and is now known as Andrea Shubert.

You can do some research for Genetic Anamolies, and I belive his new company is BlueSkyRed. The person he or she or whoever they are has technically lost their mind.

Here is all I can find on it. LINK (http://www.blueskyred.com/products.php)
