I really like this best of Stabbing Westward, will I like Nine in Nails?

Stabbing Westward has been labeled a rip off of NIN?

This is the most random post of the week for me. How can you not know about NIN? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Am I the only one who doesn't think "NIN" when listening to Stabbing Westward? It's been a while since I listened to any SW, but it's not coming to me right now.

I agree. I don't know much of Stabbing Westward's catalog, but based on the radio hits I remember their sound isn't much like that of NIN. To the OP: get into some good NIN, it's pretty damn good stuff, regardless of what it sounds like.

This post makes me wish I could put a poll in the middle of a thread.

the only thing I can think of is he was abbreviating "inch".

Otherwise you are correct.

Oh, it was abbreviated. I thought that the OP thought it was Nine in Nails. not nine inch nails. And since I dont know much about the band, i thought that I was wrong in believing it was nine inch nails.

I'm 22. I have no idea what I was doing. I listened to Offspring - Smash, that's about it. (6th grade)

I think the OP is just dumb. Why type out nine and nails but not inch? He probably just has the bands name wrong.

Yes I think its safe to say that if you like Stabbing Westward you will like NIN. The singing isn't quite as good but the songwriting and music is much better. They aren't terribly similar but I can see why people make comparisons...

Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral are the two best choices

Call me crazy, but I personally like Stabbing Westward a lot more than NIN. I guess they have some similarities.

Buy "The Downward Spiral" by NIN and judge for yourself. A lot of people consider that to be one of the best albums of all time.

Not the most romantic thing in my personal music catalog, but whatever floats your boat. . .

I saw Stabbing Westward in a club opening for Front 242 years ago. Their lead singer struck me as a Jim Morrison wannabe.
