I 3-bet the flop. You have a guy who raised you and a cold caller. You arent going to knock them out of the hand. Take their money now.

my thinking was to wait to the turn to 3bet/cap when the bet doubles. i didnt want to raise any alarms, and kill my future action.

I 3 bet the flop. Nobody's going anywhere and it's hard to put someone on 2\4.

I bet out on the turn. you're either going to have CO face Button with 2 cold or (as happened) you face MP2 with 2 cold. I bet for two reasons. 1. Having this checked through makes kittens die. (small chance) 2. You've got a much better chance of Button coming for 2 cold (already cc on the flop) than you do MP2 (who might come for 1, then 2).

Was it 44 or A2? /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'm gonna say this, because someone said it to me when I posted a hand in this manner. Don't tell the result, especially not in the subject. You'll get skewed responses. I know my thinking is somewhat looking at this.

That said, I don't know if I could slow down with a flopped fh here on the turn so I don't have a problem with a turn cap. And the river raise from the button makes me want to puke. I wouldn't have capped the river(though it doesn't matter I guess because CO would have done it anyway.)

You should really 3bet this flop. I would slow down on the river also, you have the worst boat on a paired board. Also, don't tell us you lost the pot. It will skew the responses people give you.

it was A2. i was not happy to see it. i would have been 'happier' to lose to 44 or something.
