I mainly play 10 dollar SNG's and was wondering how to calculate my ROI. Also I was wanting to know if you calculate it all together for the different starting player numbers. I sometimes play in the 20 and 30 person SNS's as well. Thanks.

roi = (cash won / buy-in $) - 1. see faq for more details.

as for players, you can do it both ways: "roi for 10 player = x%, 20 player = y%, 10 and 20 player = z%"

So just as an example lets say that I've played in 6 SNGs. Five 5.50 sng's and 1 11.00 sng. I won a total of 37.50+15.00+20.00=72.50. I divide that by the 38.50, and i get 1.88 something. Did you mean divide it the other way? Then I would get something like .531, is this my ROI? Thanks. I checked the FAQ but didn't see anything on how to calculate it.

total won = x
total paid = y

profit = x-y

roi = profit/y

So my ROI in that example would be .883.

From the FAQ:

ROI: Return on Investment – the average return a player earns on an investment of $1. (Total Prizes Won-Total Buyins paid)/(Total Buyins) Note: Total buyins includes the rake paid to the card room.
