View Full Version : Hand 2: Turning the Nut Flush

Next hand against the same opponent as hand 1. This is a few orbits later and I've come to realize that he is very, very loose. Seems to be quite passive preflop (although this could be because of a lack of "raisable" hands) and I have no real read on his postflop tendencies/aggression.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 4 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Calls quickly. Missed his CR with trips and now he's paniced. Can't give idiots the credit for the nuts when there are so many plausable hands you beat.

My thoughts exactly and I did indeed call. Just needed some reassurance since he tabled J8o and took the pot. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

I'd always just call on the turn and evaluate the river in position to extract max value/avoid losing a lot.

Given the way you played it, I would fold quickly, and I'm not being influenced by the results.

Gotta call that down, you'll win a lot more than you'll lose in these situations. Especially 4 handed, ppl would be shoving with weaker hands.

I'm think you'll see a number of worse hands too.

I'm raising preflop against most limpers here. Auto-call the turn push.
