View Full Version : 30s by day, 50s by night

I think I'm going to be playing the 30s during the day and as it gets to peak hours play the 50s. I think this should help my transition to the 50s because ideally there will be slightly worse players and I'm easing into it. Just curious if anyone ever tried something like this or if this is just pointless.

What I'm interested in is: does it really make a difference in ROI if you play during peak hours?

Because I have NEVER played during American peak hours. It's 6 hours later here in holland, so then I'd have to play in the nights. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

if it will ease your state of mind going into the 50s, then i'd say go for it.

im kind of wondering this too. I only played 14 50s yesterday but i played 7 early afternoon, and I thought the players were generally tighter than the 7 i played later at night but obviously the sample size is useless.

Why wouldn't it?

There is a pretty linear correlation between my ROI/ITM and the number of players online.

thanks, thats what I had thought and read before just nice to see it confirmed by another.

Someone did a poll on this awhile back and collected a bunch of data, the ROI was definitely higher at night. I'm too lazy to look up the thread. It was about 2 months ago. It wasn't an overly scientific study, but it was good enough to show that the games are easier from 8 to midnight.

It was Messy Jesse.

He showed that there is a pretty significant difference between peak hours and other times.

I'm a [censored] hero for even being a winning player at the times I play! /images/graemlins/smile.gif I play from about 10 am to 4 pm in your timezone I think.

I often play one level down from my normal level when I'm playing at non peak hours.

no, he isn't.

he played above his bankroll for a little while, that is all.

i made a bet with another player about how long he'd be playing the 50s, etc.
