Would anyone be up for this......Okay, admittedly Locations would be important as we would need to find out where people are based so that there is the most available to do....Full trip report and photos would be provided....Of course....

Anywhere as a location am an hour from London and Birmingham anywhere else wherever, if theres a piss up I am there.

Im a member of Gutshots and have played there several times....Its in Clerkenwell Road which is nr The Angel Islington (Good Bar scene)

I'm assuming a meet-up friday night - get on it and hit bars/clubs poss west-end, even a casino ?? Then on Sat go down to Gutshots....And then continue onwards from there....

I live in London, so I would be biased in suggesting this as a venue......If anyone has a better knowledge of Birmingham than me - I would be willing to listen to suggestions. I have friends who live there and could find a suitable itinery (Without sounding too geeky!)

However, I'm fine with Birmingham or anywhere else necessary...

As for dates - I'm fine with anything...

I will direct any 2+2'ers from the UK to this page and see if we can drum up interest...I know of a few that work/live in London as it is....and would be interested in this...

I think only the Vic does poker but may be wrong and there I understand its a £50 game or a £100 game (minimum buy in a lot of people will sit with more).

Theres a few other card rooms sprung up but think they are small and not sure how open they are, The Vioc and Gutshot are open till late the gutshot all night.

I prefer drink and socialising personally. Starting with poker and moving on is my strong preference. Maybe the players can be at the start, and the socialisers come at the end bit, and some stay for both /images/graemlins/smile.gif

From memory I think its 1/2 and 2/4 but been a while so not sure 100%.

Saturday afternoon at Gutshot normally £25 self deal cash games and 1 or 2 dealer dealt 25-50 games (50 being the max you can sit down with) blinds are 25/50 and 50/1. Sometimes its a round of each table and the blinds are slightly higher for Omaha. I normally play in this standard is varied but is generally a decent beatable game.

Bear in mind we are talking pot limit.

I am up with the afternoon poker then pub crawl with a club option, mainly cos I dont like to play drunk and certainly not for the stakes available if it was a low limit donkfest then fine but it wont be.

There has been a lot of discussion about it there used to be the odd table at the dungeon that essentially became the gutshot but has never been spread at the club and they dont think there is demand for it.

I would stil thin kaboiut coming along the £25 game is pretty easy its small stack play so playing tight and getting all in with good hands is optimal play anyway. Could play the £5 tournament then play a bit online before coming for drinks as there is an internet room there as well.

Theres a restaraunt and bar meals and stuff in the club as well for those who cant wait for somthing to eat.

Somthing to consider once we get numbers and timescales and what sort of limit we would want can approach them then.

I've never been on a pissup night out in Sunderland in my life, suporting the team and living in the town are different matters more so when I am from Durham. I am suree a large percentage of the smb if bringing friends up from the south would take them to Newcastle over Sunderland.

I usually stay at the Jurys Inn in Islington it's pretty nice (think it's 4 star but not sure) 5 mins from gutshot and if you book it on the day it's £39 for one night (that's for a twin so if your coming with a mate it's only £20 each)
