Looking at going to Vegas next month for the first time. Was wondering if you guys have any ideas on transporting money from cardroom to cardroom and so on. I might just be being a wuss but don't really feel like getting jumped either.

yeah I thought so, would you just roll up 100's then or what?

If you are worried just cab it. They bring you right up to the door.

With all due respect, the Asian guy with the "Members Only" jacket standing next to you probably has twice your cash in his pocket. It's Vegas. See the Rolls Royce(s) by the front door?

Just carry it in your front pocket.

Don't let them kid you, you're going to need a security system.

This should do it:

Wrapped in a red rubber band and stuffed into your front pocket.

If you're walking the strip with thousands of other tourists your odds are good. If you're walking somewhere dark, lonely and spooky, turn around fast -- you don't belong there.

They wear the "North Face" now. Most got rid of or put in storage their Members Only jackets until they become popular again.

just don't walk north of the Sahara or three blocks away from Fremont - you'll be fine.

If you like to hang out north of the Stratosphere, then you're wasting your time.

What's wrong with north of the Stratosphere? Games get tougher on the Strip?

There is nothing there... (http://www.vegas.com/map.html)

Just don't walk on Fremont past the end of the Experience part. That area is extremely nasty and you most likely will be mugged if you're not pushing a shopping cart.

Oh, you're just talking about that limbo area. Got it.
Since the strip is north on the same street I thought you were saying something was bad about the games on the strip.

The Strip is SOUTH.

Bad area around the north of Sahara and certainly west of Stat...real bad crack central.

I walked from the Strip to downtown once. It wasn't the best area, but I never felt like I was in any real danger. About the only thing I'd say is don't put it in a wallet in your back pocket and go into a crowded area (i.e. the TI ship thingy), as others have said- rubber band in front pocket is the way to go.
