Finally an episode with more answers than questions.

Wait until it airs on the West Coast too, then you'll see some chatter.

this episode had more answers, but no fewer questions than normal

Great episode tonight. Not gonna say anything because I don't want to spoil anything for the west coast viewers but I thought it was a very good solid episode.

maybe west coast should show some self control and not open the thread for an hour

this was the first lost i was actually bored. we've already covered hurley's lotto background and tying it into the food dilmena was just not that terribly interesting to me. it didnt really say much about their predicament on the island.

there was little attention given to people on the other side of the island. little attention given to the actual exploration of the hatch. this episode stalled out and did very little for me.

I pretty much agree. The Hurley food issue seemed trivial and uninteresting. Basically nothing happened until the very end of the show with jin and company either. Very slow episode imo.

Yup. This crap about Hurley's little feelings is as dumb as it gets.

Did anyone else think for a moment that Michael and Sawyer were about to be served as dinner?

Yeah, atleast it didnt turn into the whole Lord of the Flies thing with the food. I hate how these episodes keep showing the same footage as previous ones. Stop it with the filler.

As far as content goes, wasnt too interested in the Hurley story. Of course, it did get into the people being sick on the other side of the island. So there has to be some sort of disease going on.

How did no one find the big door that led to the inside of the hatch before? Your trying to tell me that Locke spent all that time playing around with the hatch that he couldnt go around the base of the hill to find the large door behind a couple vines?

The other boring part is anything to do with Charlie. All he does is get in the way and try to suck up to Claire. I think they really should have cast someone else in that role.

Bah to all the critics. This show has got me damn near crapping myself with suspense.

And Freckles getting out of the shower- she didn't show anything but there was something really hot about it. And that is saying a lot from someone who has viewed enough porn for many lifetimes.

Every episode this season is pure stall. They are re-running old footage over and over again in the flashbacks and not getting anywhere. Last season I felt like at least "something" happened each episode. So far, nothing is happening.

LOST PREDICTION
I think the island had something to do with the plane crash. Some how the magnetic force pulled the plane to the island.

My question is why did they let hurley guard the FOOD!

But Hurley doens't know that Walt's been taken!

I liked this. I like that it's an epp that tests our patience. Like I've said before, the fun of this show is the suspense, so I like not having everything laid out before me.

Soul Daddy

He also doesn't know Korean or that Jin is back on the island. But I guess it is a nice little touch that ties into the rest of the sequence.

I agree that the journey is the important part and this one is all sorts of fun.

I liked it. But I also like those episodes that just give questions. Loved the opening dream sequence. Loved that it ended not with a cliff hanger but with a happy note for once.

So, what do we think happened to the other group of survivors that caused them to go from 23 to 3/4/5 ?

Im willing to say this was the worst Lost episode yet. Im all for suspense but this episode didnt further the plot worth a damn, other than at the very end. Meh.

You do realize that the show runners want this thing to run out for 5+ years, right?

B Dids
10-13-2005, 02:10 PM
My first guess would be that they started getting sick. However, all of their protection and distrust, maybe it's more the island and The Others.

I think I remember that they don't want this to run for that long, but I could be totally wrong.

Either way- at this point I trust the folks who have made an AMAZING show so far to get this right.

My wife fell asleep before the show started last night. She asked me what happened and I said "nothing". She didnt believe me. I gave her the summary and she said "guess you werent kidding". Poor poor work..Im giving them a mulligan here but it better not happen again!

It looked like they went into the same kind of bunker that is on the other side of the island, but it appeared to have been abandoned for some time.
I'm guessing the reason they went from 23 to 5 has to do with nobody pressing the button.

BottlesOf
10-13-2005, 04:57 PM
I don't think that bunker has to be like the hatch at all.

Explain this connection now plz?

Also- apparently that's who Jun worked for, or at least that's what was suggested on another forum.

Also, also, apparently Hurley's boss is also Locke's boss (at Hurley's box factory).

None of those are confirmed though.

It was explained last year that Hurley bought and sold Locke's box company after he won the lottery as one of his investments.

Yes, I know that. But somewhere along the way he apparently hired his old boss at the chicken joint to work at the box factory.

I initially heard the Nazi connection rumor on Howard Stern - he said that one of the producers told him that, and he swore that his source was legit. It sounded like total bs of course.

Then, I saw the episode when they played the old instructional film. At the end, it says thehansofoundation (http://www.thehansofoundation.org/) .

Check out that site (it's an official show site).

Notice how the logo kind of resembles a swastika. Then notice the initials of the man who created the foundation.

I think the rumor may be true.

p.s. if you want to see people really freak over this show, go here (http://www.4815162342.com/forum/) .
