I would probably put in a raise to 120 or so. It makes your hand tougher to read, and can buy you a free card on the turn.

Edit: I would also make around a pot-sized turn bet if I improved, and check behind if I missed.

Would you have any qualms about calling a stack-sized check/raise on the turn if you played it this way?

I guess it would depend on what I improved to. I guess I take back my initial flop raise size and make it bigger, say 175. That way I'll feel more comfortable when I turn a club that another person wasn't on higher clubs.

FWIW, I would probably call no matter what I improved to (two pair (+redraw), trips (+redraw), flush).

Players arent going to be "reading" you too often in a 5 buck tourney.

I put UTG + 1 on a decent holding. Probobly an ace with a bad kicker. Id smooth call this and see what he does on the turn.

Well villian doesn't have a great hand. Ace bad kicker like before mentioned. Easy call. If it doesn't happen on the turn then check and what odds he give you on the river.
