Perfect board for my BB hand. Probably couldn't have scripted it much better.

Probably should have raised the river more but didn't want to get to greedy. Thought he might come back over the top if I min raised.

Could raise flop, then a nice turn like that will give you a huge check-raising opportunity.

Pump that flop all day. Then lead the turn and river.

I was hoping to check-raise the turn but no one bet. As for raising the flop, this was my first night on the PL400 tables so I was playing a bit tighter than usual.

I've had a number of bad experiences recently where the nut flush draw on the flop never materialized. Had a hand the other night, AAJ9 double suited, where I potted PF only to have it potted back at me, which I called. The flop gave me the nut flush draw with 2 low cards on the board so I potted it again and then the villian goes all-in; he had AA94 double suited. Suffice to say, he caught runner runner to scoop with a low and a nut flush.

As you know, it's very important to try not to let short term results influence your strategy. This isn't just damaging because you might make a bad adjustment--it's damaging because your adjustments will become so transitory that you won't have a good way to gauge whether they are improving your game or making it worse. I'm not saying a flop check-raise is iron-clad here, but I wouldn't take it out of the playbook just because you have missed a few flushes recently.
