I posted this on another thread, but its at the end of another thread, no one seemed to have seen it, and all the postings today suggest no one has seen it.

History- long-time Party 4 tabler who plays for a living. I switched to Intertops about 3 months months ago and didn't play on party at all. The day the servers switched I deposited money on party and started playing there. 2 days ago I got an email from party. (Note: my party account was never signed up under an affiliate)

Highlights of the email:

Party is offerring me 6.6 cents per raked hand. The original language of the email was more ambiguous, but upon me sending a follow up email the terms became clear.

This offer is permanant.

Instead of just random customer service, Party assigned a specific person to handle all my questions. (Gave me her direct line and even her cell.... but it is an international # in Gibralter)

I'm purposely not copy-pasting the entire email. Every thread so far has at least five people stating the person is posting fake rumors. I get no joy out of creating false hope in a 2+2'er.

From the looks of it, I was one of the first people emailed with this offer, since it hasn't been plastered all over the place. Odds are it's a combination of both how long I've been with party, how much action I've had, the fact that I Was never signed up under an affiliate, and the fact that I hadn't played there in 3 months.

I'm guessing people can't get this if they are signed up under an affiliate.

This is what I believe party means in the official party statement when it says "Players can contact us directly at bonses@partypoker" (bonses@partypoker) etc.

Players shouldn't be worried whatsoever. Affiliates on the other hand, the jury is still out on.

Furthermore, the offer made although with the same language as the October pop-up, is not exclusive of that popup. Furthermore, if someone could explain that popup I would be appreciative. Mine states about 45k hands and I CAN get $1,605. I'm not going to waste my time on the offer if I don't understand why they say CAN instead of WILL.

What are you playing and what is your limit?

Can you email your contact and ask if the amount increases as you move up in limits?

This is very INTERESTING................

when i played on party i played .5/1, and usually just to clear bonuses. right now i 4 table 3/6 short and generate ~8k a month in MGR, but not on their site, so they have no reason to think i'm worth much to them.

i'm guessing i'm just kind of screwed here?

There was no differences in limit. Which of course got me to thinking of how I could 10 table 1/2.

Oh I forgot to mention they deposit the funds in your account the first day after the month.

What limit is this at? At first glance, it appears to be a reasonable amount, but that would depend on the limit.

To clarify, Party's offer was in the form of the October promotion. Play xx hands and receive $xx. The math just works out to 6.6 cents/hand. In the past year I've put many hours in at all levels between 5/10 and 30/60.

In your original post, you said is was 6.6 cents per raked hand. I'm just trying to get some clarification here to do some calculations.

Thanks.

It is raked. And further clarification on this comment, if I play half the required hands, I get half the $. If I play double the required hands, I get double the $.

This was just a normal "bonus" they offered various players this month. Instead of giving everyone 15-30% bonuses they told people if you play X number of hands, we will give you X amount of dollars. This was also different for just about everyone. Some people had to play 15000 hands for $500 some had to play 200 for $25 (this is just an example). If you do a search for the begining of the month you will see a lot of posts about this. I don't think it's anything special and I remember a lot of people were pissed becasue they didnt get a normal bonus.

If you're talking about the Party Points bonus (i.e. collect 3100 PP and get $185 or whatever) limit does matter as you get more points for the higher limits you play.

See the part of my post where I already pointed out the two were seperate. And the part where I said this was permanant. It's in the last paragraph.

Per the emails I received, the "rakeback program" is called the VIP Bonuses Program. It is completely separate from the October Party Points Promotion.

10-12-2005, 10:18 PM
I think we are in similar position. Besides a pop-up, I also received a e-mail about this VIP bonus. So you are saying if I play enough to reach the points requied in the banner, I will get the VIP bonus on top of the October bonus promised in the pop-up?

for those who got a pop up or email...how many hands/month (and limits) do you play?

10-12-2005, 10:46 PM
June was the last month I played at party. I played about 360 $1000, $400 and $200 SNGs and paid about $8,000 in tournament fee. I didnt play any cash game that month.

I play for a living and 4 table 6 max limit games. Hence, alot.

However, from the way its setup, it IS 6.6 cents/raked hand. It does not matter how many limits you play.

The only thing I can gather we have in common is we both stopped playing on Party around June, and we've both put in alot of hours.

From the sounds of the post entitled "Party Poker Bonuses" when they ask you to email them, this is what they'll offer you.

My email mentioned something about return for tournaments, but I did not ask the specifics since I don't play SnG's anymore, just the Supers. I assume its something but I don't know the details.

Momo- Just email them back any questions you have. They got back to me in a few hours. But yes, you can get both. Problem is I'll have a hard time meeting the requirement for the October Party Points since I need 45,000 hands.

Does Party only make this direct rakeback offer to people playing under no affiliation, or is it possible to get both this direct rakeback and an against-the-terms rakeback from an affiliate too.

Is this worse than it looks? Do you have to have contributed to the rake? Isnt party a no flop/no drop site?
Do SNGs count?

Bingo

I have no specific information, but it is a fairly easy guess, IMO.

The email I received specifically mentioned "We miss you at PartyPoker" and "we know you have been playing elsewhere to take advantage of bonuses.... here's our offer"

A raked hand is simply one that you are dealt in when rake is taken.

Furthermore, if you think about it, if you're under a rakeback deal you're not generating rake if it's not a raked hand to begin with. Fact of the matter is the Party deal is very close to what I was getting when I was getting 30% back on a skin. The fact that I know its permanant and that I'll get it on the 1st of the month is enough to keep me happy.

are you sure it is close to a 30% rakeback? my calculation shows it is more like a 16% rakeback unless you add the one-time october bonus. i dont know - maybe their formula favors cash game

I get about 400 hands/hour in. (probably closer to 360 or so)

per my PT
At 10/20 I would get about $32/per 400 hands
At 5/10 I would get about $25/ per 400 hands

The higher limits have higher rake but since they don't have 6max tables for them, I'm always playing 3-8 people so my hands/hr figure is unreliable.

Now at 400 hands, if 75% of them are raked I'm getting $20 per 400 hands..... I'm guessing the amount of raked hands is around that %, but I don't have any exact information on this. The old deal was slightly better, but not enough for me to get riled up about. IMO, Its well worth knowing it will always be there and its locked up forever.

it is called VIP loyalty program. i think they give this offer to high volume players who didnt sign-up through affiliate and recently moved to other sites, so we dont have to close our current account and sign-up through an affiliate to get rakeback.

I emailed last nite, explained my sit. (moved to Paradise etc) and they sent an email back and deposited $50 into my dormant account that hadnt been used in 6 months...nice! I think if I play with them and do my high volume, they may offer me a good plan like palman has. I'm willing to give them a shot again, we'll see...

Palman, what you should do is:

Sign up for rakeback under an affiliate which now offers rakeback at party, under a different account. Or, go back to playing your old site.

Let a relative beginner who is good at multi-tabling 10 table 1/2 6 max. I'm sure there are lots of people who could do this for 1 BB/100 playing a very basic strategy and make significantly more then they do currently. Work out a percent of their additional earn which you will recieve.

That is all.
