so here is what I'm going to do...I've been blowing too much of my precious BR on higher limit tourneys with 200 players, - ones that take hours, and have a lot of competition...

So for a change, I'm going to allocate $100 bucks into Nine 2 table sit and go NL tourneys at Pokerstars (9 of them at $11 a pop is $99)- plus it will improve my short table game, as you have about two points quickly with 5 players per table - consider it a "moving down in limits" for tourney play till I get some mojo back.

I'm curious to see my results, esp. now that the games have a slightly longer structure - (antes now don't start till the 2nd hour) - and I shall post the results here when I'm done.

could be interesting...one win and one other finish in the top 4 is enough to get the money back....could be fun.

Max possible return is something like $648 - but that's dreaming... /forums/images/icons/grin.gif - I'll be sure to put in time played for a ROI - anyone think of anything else semi easy to track that might be interesting? -

whiskey,

Sounds like fun. One important thing to keep track of is the amount of time you spend waiting for the tournament to begin. Some of the tables at Stars take forever to get going. This is the main reason I left stars for other sit-n-go destinations (although I love Stars...just wish they "advertised" the sit-n-go's more).

Anyways, have fun, good luck...looking forward to your results.

Peace,
jHE

It seems to me the 1 tables are a better value than the 2 table. Better odds too. Am I right? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

hmmmm..

not that it isn't important, but the times I play (evening, CST) makes it fairly irrelevant...

in any case, when waiting, I find something else to do...(book, surf for porn, watch TV, etc etc...) so it's not like that time goes to waste...

I have learned after 1-2 am to give up and wait till the next day...

not necessarily...

9 players pays 3, and 18 players pays 4, but the amounts are nearly doubled for 18 then they are for 9

I like 2 tables cause the payoff is better for first, and that's always what I'm shooting for if I can..

I always thought 1 table is better until I moved to the higher limit $100 table. Now I really hope it's a two table rather than 1 table, so we can have more time to play rather than 6 or 7 players dumping chips from one another at level 7 or 8, which really sucked. There's no point to play the game if everyone only has 3 or 4x the blind and still far from money. Pokerstar has the best structure, no question about that, just hope that they have more game for sit & go.
