Hadn't thought about this in awhile. Somebody mentioned it on the radio today so I went googling. Thought I'd bring it back here.

Tell me if it's a red x for you guys.

It crosses my mind almost every time I see Theisman.

Thank you.

Let me explain.

It's not inconceivable, is it, that somewhere there is a baseball fan...a huge baseball fan. He can quote to you Dizzy Dean's lifetime stats. He knows all the teams Rickey Henderson ever played for. He know that Mick and Maris had the most HRs as teammates in 1961. He knows lots about baseball.

He knows that Ruth was sold/traded. He knows that Jeter isn't clutch. He knows that the 2001 Mariners improvement had little to do with Arod being a curse, and more to do with them spending money on free agents for the first time ever.

It's not inconceivable that there are dozens, hundreds, maybe thousands of such fans.

And it's not inconceivable that (at least) one of them never saw Joe Carter's World Series winning HR. He was just always out of the room when it aired. He had heard about it. He knew all about it. He even knows it went down the left field line, and who was pitching. But he's never seen it.

Well, I had never seen that video before, which still amazes me.

Now I have. Thank you.

Josh

Somehow I have never seen the Bertuzzi thing (although that's certainly lesser than this hit), so I know what you mean.

Gracias.

That one is up there. I think McGahee's knee bending straight back against Ohio State was worse to watch. The Jason Kendall broken ankle well running to first base is also hard to watch.

First time I ever saw this video as well.

Sickening.

Has everyone seen the Marty McSorely/Donald Brashear racism hockey video?

As a Bruins fan, I saw it when it happened, and about a million times afterwards. It happened, McSorley was punished, Brashear is fine, and that's that. I don't think it had anything to do with racism, and I'm not sure why you would bring that up.

lol. I know, I just thought I would throw that in there and see what kind of responses came about. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That was Jason Kendall. Truly horrific. His leg just like fell apart.

anyone see the alabama receiver break his lower leg a few weeks ago against florida, it was worse than kendall's because after the break he lifted his leg sideways in the air and his foot and lower leg just dangled

Wow. I knew about this, but thankfully they don't show a lot of these on tv.
I think the moises alou break into second base about 10? years back should get some type of honorable mention. In addition, let's not forget that left handed pitcher for the d-rays a few years ago where he throws to home plate and the arm just breaks in half. Actually, that's worse than this. Oh, god.
