View Full Version : what AK really stands for....

10-12-2005, 02:41 AM
At my local B&M tonight, heard a new term for AK other than "american airlines", "pocket rockets" and "bullets"

"AK is Anna Kournikova, looks good but never wins"

If this is old news, I apologize, just thought it was really funny.

um those first two are for AA not AK, dont know about "bullets"

10-12-2005, 03:14 AM
American Airlines and Pocket Rockets are for AA, not AK, so why do you say you heard a new term for AK other than "american airlines."

At anycase, yes, this is kind of old news man.

Worst post of the month?

Sorry man, but that was just bad on many levels.

There is a preview option before you post. Please take advantage of it.

did you hear that at Canterbury? I heard someone else say that there Mon. morning.

Great analogy - though I have ok luck with it if I hit the flop.

The month? How about the history of the world? All three of the mentioned terms are for AA not AK, and stupid VVP says Anna Kournikova every thirty seconds on WPT coverage...

Alright, while we're spouting off humurous hand names that I thought everyone knew years ago, how about Queen Three as "San Francisco Bus Boy." (Queen with a Trey).

Not quite AA or AK but I heard 'unsuited disconnectors' used the other day to describe a less than stellar starting hand.

10-12-2005, 04:07 PM
Heard this rampantly in AC about a year ago, usually by the fools in sunglasses, hats, spiffy button ups, and a thinning wallet.

Its pretty dumb, and akin to the same level as claiming that 5T is the most powerfull hand due to "all straights have a 5 or a T, so its the most powerful hand!durkadurkadurrrr!!!111!!111!11!!11101010101"

why did I click on this thread knowing exactly where it was going.

We call this one "the scott" after a former roommate who enjoyed himself 3 or more times daily (much to his girlfriend's annoyance). Though we usually spell it KJo, due to his leadership in the field.
