It's our 20 year anniversary and were going to NYC to celebrate. I've never been there before and only have plans for 1 night out of 3. I was thinking about giving her $500 to shop there. Don't know if that's enough or not??? I could go to $1000 but that seems like a lot. I haven't ruled out jewelry yet. She loves it, but I'm thinking the money to spend would be fun for her too? Any Ideas? Thoughts?

don't give her cash, this is your 20 yr anniv, that is lame.

Get her jewelry and surprise her with it. Or get her a nice outfit for a fancy dinner/show for the two of you in NY.

Better yet do both, 20 yrs is nothing to sneeze at. Congrats dude.

good idea. Add flowers to the mix, but not roses. Make it unique like lillies or something like that.

She already has rings watches and earings. How much of that can a girl want? I could never buy her clothes, i'm really bad at that. Even with help from the sales persons.
Any Ideas for Jewelery?

Lots and lots. You haven't figured that out yet?

Don't buy clothes if you are unsure. For jewelry, it is usually a good idea to go to a store with her well before any gift giving date and see what she likes. Make a note of her favorites and buy them or similar items for the next several gift giving opportunities.

As others said money is a really bad gift for the 20th anniversary. Seriously, the ugliest piece of trash jewelry is much better than $1000 for shopping.

Give her an absolute fortune. The more she gets, the less she'll spend. Trust me.

What does she like to do? Whatever it is do it first class. Does she like Broadway shows? Buy VIP tickets and sit in the first row.

My wife loves the horse draw carriages in Central Park.

Lots of fine dining. Highly recommend the Rainbow Room for your anniversary. Also, Tavern on the Green is nice.

If she is into jewelry take her to the diamond district and get something made special for her.

Above all, treat her right since she just suffered for the last 20 years with you /images/graemlins/smile.gif (My 15th is upcoming and it looks I have to pony up for Hawaii)
