I have been playing STT and keeping track of my ITM and ROI. I am thinking about starting to play MTT because I read that the money is better. How much ROI can a good player expect on MTT's? How about ITM? Are these even the stats I should be calculating for MTT's? Are there any more that I should track? What number of tourneys constitute an acceptable sample size?
Thanks in advance,
Wickss

theres a much larger range for 'good' ROI's in MTT's, anywhere from 50-400 is possible, i'd guess that around 100% would be the norm.
for ITM around 15% is good.

Frankly I don't know how you came with those numbers.

i heard them a while ago, and just assumed wherever i heard it was right.. and i've been repeating them, and no one has corrected me, so i just got more and more confident about it.
The ITM% i'm pretty confident about, and i remember you saying something about you having stats about good players with ITM around 15%, and JJProdigy said 10 and up was good.

Heres my logic for the nuumbers that i said for ROI...
- My top nunmber that i use 400%, i think i spossible from looking at my own numbers (not that i have anywhere near 400%, but i thin kit's possible, atleast at the micro to mid buyins.
- Phil Gordon i think claims to have a 200% ROI in 10k buyins..
- and for the low number... i can't see hwy 50% ROI wouldn't be a good low range.

I feel like a jackass now, so if you could say what you think good 'stats' are, i'd appreciate it.

i think hes just hinting that its incredibly hard to have a statistically relevant sample size. obviously getting a ballpark on itm should be easier than roi.
