On Sunday i moved $1500 over to party and started to play the $33's, I am now down to $900, I thought I was supposed to have the luck switch on at first so I would keep playing there. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Holler.

This was a very easy push here.

It's a party for me. I've had 12 winning sessions in a row.

I was under the impression that the best way to get Phil Ivey out of a tournament was to deal any random person at the table AQ. Give it to someone else, and the flop will contain at least one ace and one queen. Give it to him, and someone will flop a queen-high straight.

Yeah the 33s seem to be infested with complete [censored] idoits. I decided to run some 33s to "get back into the groove" before hitting the 55s full stride again

Oh well, profitable in the end I guess

Do you make a note of how you go out of tournaments? I think this may possibly help your game or identify some leaks. I started doing this recently using the following method on my excel spreadsheet:
On all the Sngs where I make the money I hightlight those cells blue. Sngs where I go out because i played a hand badly that either knocked me out, or crippled me are red. Sngs where I've gone out but where i'm confident (based on icm) that i've made the right play but were just called by a better hand fair and square are green, and sngs where i've gone out because i was sucked out on are yellow.
If you do this over a longish period of time you'll see how your going out of these tournaments. Obviously if there are lots of reds you'll know something is wrong (you have to be brutally honest when deciding if you played it well or not). If there are lots of yellows and greens, it probably means you're just hitting a horrible horrible downswing and theres not too much you can do about it. Though you should consider the possibility that your pushing too loosely if you see lots of greens.

Anyway thats what i do and it works well for me. Let me know if you give it a try. Hope your on the right side of the variance soon.

P.s. the AQ hand is fine.

I was actually trying to think of a way to do this becuase I want to know if my brain is broken or if I am running "IrieGuy" bad lately. So if I push AT get called by KJ Is that a yellow?
Or if I donk of 90% of my stack, I count that as the bustout obviously unless I come back and win! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Starting today I am implememnting this system. Thanks. Holler.

Out.

But the whole spreadsheet would be yellow... no? I think you need to check your game cause I think theres a reason your losing. Not Cause your the most unlucky person in the world. I am no longer reading your bad beat posts.

Where in your $900 do you see 90 buyins?? Maybe im just not good at math... but 900/33 = < 90!

I had my entire bankroll at Empire, but after the weekend, transfered 1500 of it to Party and have $900 of that $1500. The 1500 is a portion of my bankroll. Math man.

I haven't had a losing day since Sept 11.

It's really kind of insane... A really good week for me would usually only be 2 losing days.

My first day playing all party (instead of 1/2 party) I had to play 2 sets because I could not have lost enough in one set (of 8). 16 STTS, I think 2 3'ds and a 2nd. The second day I played one set of 8 and won a whopping $10. Tonight I palyed one set of 8 with 3 firsts, 2 seconds, and a third (and a fourth, damnit!). YEEEEHAAAA. Ain't variance grand. (30 buy ins is well within variance, so I would not sweat it too much if you think you are playing well.)

Yeah thats yellow, and yeah unfortunately the spreadsheet eventually looks kinda bright, you might want to darken the screen/ lower contrast if you value your eyes/mindstate.

Why don't you care about what happens once you are in the money?
I keep track of the hand that I went out on and a short note about it, but I had not thought to add colour.
This is a good idea.

I like to make a note of what happens once im in the money, but anymore than 4 colours i think would make things confusing.
