hi,

is there anything to be done in order to overcome those annoying client-sw provided by some of the poker-sites ?
i hate those applications not grabbing the focus when you have an option there. in my opinion all the clients except the paradise one are behaving very badly. are there any options to enhance them ?

thanks and bye

huh? I don't understand what you mean?
Most of the software is ok. I often hear that paradise has the best but haven't tried yet.

hi hung,

from my point of view it is simply terribly annoying when you have 2 windows open (which are not scalable and are overlapping) and you have an option at the one located in the background you have to click it at least 2 times, because it is no grabbing the focus. its getting even worse when you have some other applications running too.

is it more clear now ?

thanks and bye
olaf !

One improvement I'd like to see at all the sites is something similar to the "mini-view" (or whatever it's called) at UB. Basically, I like it just because it fits on my screen much better than the "regular" table view does. Also, if I ever get to the point where I play more than one table the mini-view would work great.

peace,
jHE

hey dr_mabuse,

I'm writing a review about the sites where I play. And I thought about this too. I didn't understand what you meant. I was also thinking about a way to write this. How could I explain this to others so they would understand.
When I start talknig about this they say I should stop playing multiple tables. Stars has this problem too. When you're your screen (table) is not active you should click on the screen and then you can click fold, check or whatever. Which means two clicks instead of one. UB does not have this problem. You chat, or post something in this forum and click once on your button to check/raise/fold etc. At stars I have to click twice. Once to make the window an active window and then a second time to really click the button.
24h poker has a little bug too. I can't call it a bug. But I don't know how to call it. every site has two windows. One is the lobby and the other one is your table. I'm using a software that allows me to use to screens. If I move my table to the second screen it freezes. I have to keep both windows on one screen. I do not have this problem with the other sites. I can put one table on my left screen and a second one on the right screen.
I'll finish my review and I'll post it later. My boss is coming, have to run.

As far as 24h w/dual monitors is concerned, if you set your screen resolutions to the same resolution, move the 24h software around however you desire, then change your screen resolutions back to normal, you should be just fine.

I was just about to post this. JHE is right, mini-view is great. UltimateBet software always grabs the focus in either full-table view or mini-view, but mini-view is simply the nuts for playing multiple tables. With the proper resolution you can have 3 tables going with no overlap at all--you can see everything going on at all of the tables, and I personally have found the layout of miniview easier in general for keeping up with mutiple tables. There is something about the design that makes it easy for the eye to process exactly what's going on at the table. So even if the mini-view were much larger and took up the whole screen, its design would still be great for playing multiple tables.

Granny,

Just for the record, Martin Aigner first highlighted our attention to the German word kotz - dr mabuse reiterated the fact afterwards.

Though I do agree, providing information like that are the sort of credentials we are looking for.

Both screens are the same and have the same resolution.

I've taken a few screenshots.
1ste one: If I increase my resolution on both screens I can play 8 tables. But that's impossible to play and there's no site that allows that.

2nd: At UB I can open 5 tables, use my msn, watch my ltimatebuddy, watch a clip of J. Lopez (lol) and post in the forum.

3rd: This is what I get when I try to move my table to the other screen.

4th: I was going to sell my computer. So I took a picture of it for ebay. I'm planning to buy one big screen. It's much easier to work with. Two screens not only usefull for graphic designers, but any pro poker player should have it /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
