View Full Version : Change in Quality of SNG Players on former Party Skins?

Hey guys,
I was wondering how significantly you feel the SNGs on former Party skins has deteriorated, in relation to the deterioration in ring games.
I have traditionally been a ring player, but now that the tables have deteriorated (and I am waiting for the dust to settle on the rakeback issue at Party), I was wondering if it would make more sense to just play SNGs for the next few weeks. I am a part-time player (5-10 hours per week), so maintaining a level of income is not a huge concern.
Any input from those of you who play both ring and SNG is greatly appreciated, as are any links to previous discussions addressing this issue.
Thanks!

On the skins. Remarkable I know. Some truly horrible play from start to finish.

yup
all the good players have left the skins, so mostly what's left is fish that wandered in from eurobet's sportsbetting/casino side
very fishy since the split
Damn I cashed out all of my money from eurobet. But after this post it will be less fishier anyway. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Late Sunday night I wandered into the Empire lobby, and I thought maybe I'll give a few 55s a shot. There wasn't anyone sitting at the new table though. Starting 8 would have taken forever, there weren't even 8 running. I left.
Maybe I came at a bad time, but I think this will be par for the course for at least a little bit. I played on Stars to clear the bonus.

yep
$/hour goes down on the skins now, as it takes 10mins or so to start even 2 22s

Without actually ever playing on a party skin *gasp* I would assume 11s and 22s would still be profitable and fill fast enough, but 33+ would take forever to fill and be a lot tougher to beat.
EDIT: Apparently my thoery is wrong

Maybe, I dunno if some of the sharks will return. I don't really care to tell you the truth.
I cashed out most of my money as well. The last 2 days I've been having a lot of fun with walking the tightrope on buyins. I left in 2 buyins and when I got that up a bit I cashed out again leaving 4 buyins and start over again then repeat. Risk of ruin is fun to toy with when it isn't true risk of ruin.

$55s on the skins-> takes ~5 min to fill a table
it was at the ~45min mark when the 8th table started playing

My ROI since the change: 172%
Tournies played 4
This is statistically significant.
