Hi, I have a question to all the people who reads this forum. I have seen number of deleted posts that seems to be informative. Not the I actually read all the posts since it was deleted before I could read, but many people questioned intension of action taken by moderators. I agree with those people. I think it is fairly clear that those posts were deleted because of business interests of moderators. I understand this forum itself is sponserd by those moderators and bussiness that they own. However, I wish this forum is more informative and free place for people to exchange their opinion. I can see some case that deleting post is necessary since rakeback actually deal with real money and can hart people fincially-- but there is too many deleted post! So, I think we should voice our opinion. The first question is: Do you trust moderator of this forum, if so to what degree? The second quesetion is: Should we have access to deleted post?- I am not saying moderators should undelete those post, but for someone who wish to read those post, they should PM you the deleted posts. If someone actually request to read deleted posts, they are aware that the post was sketchy from the eyes of moderators, and thus should not cause real harm. What do you think?

I trust it as much as I trust paid commercials during elections.

my trust is the same with this forum as anything else

take the information
consider the source
think about what would really make sense

as a side note:
while they obviously have their own motives, for the moment i trust the moderators. The main reason is they are saying what makes sense. Withouth getting into the high volume player arguement again, i see no reason why party would allow rakeback in any form, and as the mods are currently saying they are not, and to be patient, i trust them (for the moment)

Moderators here offer similar services as the competition, but have control over what gets posted here, which is a great place to market. You figure it out.

i don't know how to tell you this, but you are blaming the wrong people.

the mods and operators of this forum are not to blame. if you want to blame, blame mason.

the operators of this forum bought commercial advertising space. instead of it being in the form of a banner, it is in the form of a forum.

this allows some exchange that you never would get out of a banner.

posters should use this forum for whatever value they can get out of it, but it CAN NOT be held to the same moderation standards you expect from the the 2+2 discussion boards.

if this means this forum has no value to you, then that's your complaint.

if you owned this particular sub-forum i suspect you would operate it in the same fashion (probably worse because the 2 people i know that bought this forum are people who are beyond reproach and have shown great professionalism for years)

Granny, it is good to see you about again. You have been rather absent as of late.

RE: OP...right now, all of the major affiliates who post here are saying to wait. That makes them 0 dollars. It seems like they are trying to help players by telling them what is going on, instead of trying to maximize profits at all costs, like you suggest.

They are telling you to wait because they currently dont have a rakeback deal set up with PP and they dont want to you to sign up with an affiliate that is currently offering it. They want your $

where did i even remotely suggest something like this?

you are preaching to the choir. my post was directed at the OP's comment that this forum is somehow 'evil' because it is sponsored.

as far as your comment above, i agree with you.

I would hope no one would ever rely entirely on 2+2 advice to make important decisions...regardless of the forum in question.

Suppose you post a hand in the ML forum. I might tell you that in the hand in question, I would DEFINITELY raise the turn bettor. In fact, I might say something like "If you like money...raise". Or whatever. I sincerely hope that you would still apply your own thought processes before blindly following my advice.

Even if I am an excellent poker player (and if you believe that, let's get you set up with some swampland in Florida!), and you have 100% confidence in my opinion, chances are you will misapply the concept in the hand and overgeneralize to other hands, if you don't think it through for yourself.

I occasionally read the Philosophy forum, and (when I'm in the mood to witness a good fight) the Politics forum. There are posters in both forums whose opinions I generally share. However, that does not mean I am going to start PMing AndyFox (for example) for all my spiritual advice.

I feel this forum serves a useful purpose. It allows us to discuss general issues regarding rakeback with each other and with knowledgeable specialists. Doing so without 1)competing with advertising revenues, and 2)turning it into a series of " follow my url for FUN and PROFIT (http://nowhereyouwanttogo.nowgiveup)" posts is going to be a delicate balance, regardless of who the mods are.

I voted an 8 because all the moderators seem like reasonable and honest folks, but I'm not mindlessly following their advice or anyone else's via internet forum.

Neither should you.
