Live tourney. Blinds 100-200 w/25 ante. I'm by far the biggest stack at the table with around 25K. BB just sat down, no reads. I attempt a steal from CO, raising to 700 with 67o. BB calls.

Flop: K-6-5r

He checks, I bet 1200, he raises to 3K. Easy fold?

I think so.

I think your preflop raise was too small to work for a steal. With 500+ chips already in the pot, you're giving him 12:5 odds to call you. The only surprise is that neither the button (12:7) or the small blind (2:1) called too.

Unless you have a very good read that he would make this play with a worse hand than yours, and assuming that's not his last 3k, you gotta let this go.

There's no shame in getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

This is a great opportunity to jam in the right spot, if he has about 10k or if the bubble is even remotely near... or you pick up any kind of read that he is weak. If he has 12-14k you might be able to take a look at the turn and push if an ace comes or you hit your 5 outer or you pick up some other info on him.

His hand is pretty well defined and you should be able to get him off of most of his kings.
