Comments? I'm trying to get a bit more creative and thought it unliley that the flop hit the villain.

You should probably c-r all-in on the flop then as any number of cards that might put villain ahead can appear on the turn.

Bump? Genius? Idiot?

Agreed the CR on the flop would have been better. But is this the kind of play that one has to make to get a big stack, or a donk move?

It feels right, but I don't know for sure.

Lead out on the flop or checkraise allin.

You don't know that the flop didn't hit your opponent. He could have slmost anything too. However, it is probably best to play 2nd pair plus gutshot aggressively.

The preflop raise is OK, but you could also just complete with this hand.

i agree a c/r a-i is better than check/call. it looks like you're very strong and might fold out a bigger 6, which is huge.

i'd probably bet the flop and be prepared to get all the chips in.

Wow - congrats on post 5,000!

I agree that this is the better line. He called with J8o, and I got not help. I don't think he was going anywhere no matter how I played it, but it's good to know I wasn't completely out to lunch.

Thanks all - this was a big help.
