View Full Version : It's 4pm EST + 8k players on skins. Things looking up for skins?

On Sun afternoon (primetime), it was only 7k players on the skins.
Now it's 4pm EST, and there's 8k players.
Going to try to update this w/# of players on at 10pm EST to see if people are coming back at the skins. or if there's 8k players on at 4pm because it's a holiday.

Partly because it's a holiday.
I wouldn't read too much into the numbers yet.

I saw 13k when I was transfering my buddylist last night. It sucks that you can still add peoples names to the Party client who aren't on the Party server. It would be a lot easier if they fixed that...

Also dont' forget that alot of the player base for Eurobet and Multipoker are European based where it is prime time.

Nobody ever gets this right.
There are about 1,100 active tables, with about 8,000 seats being filled at those tables. There are far less actual players.
Yeah, I know it says "8,000 players" in the table lobby, but the number of tables is the true number.

I think all these predictions of the death of the party skins is way too premature.
In fact, I will make the opposite prediction, they will survive and everthing is going to be okay.

I'll try.
Most (but not all) fish only play at one table. If a fish sits down at Table XYZ, he is sitting down at one of the 1,000 active tables. He is taking up one seat on those tables.
If a 2+2 12 tabler is playing on Empire, Eurobet and Multipoker, he sits at 12 of the 1,000 tables, and he takes up 12 seats.
In short, the number of tables is a true number. When you see "players" in the lobby, it should actually say "seats being filled".

okay. thanks. got it. is this not being alittle on the nit-picking side? if im at 8 tables, am i not a player at each table? perhaps they should say "number of different players at tables?" /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I think they do it that way on purpose, as the average player doesn't really think about it too much. If it was the true number of actual players, it would look too weird: like "2,748 players at 1,087 tables".

went out last nite and didnt record # of players at 10pm EST.
it's 5:30pm and 9k players on skins.

Empire are sending out bonuses to their base it will take a few weeks for the numbers to even out and see whats going to really go on. I dont see empire or the other skins disapearing overnight like people are fearing.

So when you log onto Party, you are not counted in the number of players until you sit down? There must be 1000's logged in not sitting down. People watching tourn's, waiting or generally not playing as they're busy.
They are juicing the number against themselves.

Yes. The Empire bonus is done, Euro bonus seems to not have as big an effect.
The skins are hurtin' for certain.
I may not do the Euro deposit.

Player counts are being maintained but everytime I check in to look at the games the pot averages are anemic.
I'll play anywhere if the games are good..right now I see no reason to play there even with substantial rakeback when better games can be found at a half dozen other rooms.
If games loosen up I'll be back in a heartbeat.
