Been at the table for a bit, have a solid possibly even a rockish table image (went about 2 orbits with no playable cards given action ahead or position). UTG+1 is weak tight.

Party Poker Pot-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

UTG+2 ($22.70)
MP1 ($24.05)
MP2 ($24.40)
MP3 ($22.68)
CO ($4.30)
Button ($23.75)
SB ($8.65)
BB ($29.15)
Hero ($28.95)
UTG+1 ($22.55)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.75</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.75, <font color="#666666">8 folds</font>.

If I am going to play here, limping does me no good at all. Raising at least knocks some players out and possibly buys me information.

Flop: ($1.85) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1.25</font>, UTG+1 calls $1.25.

Representing TPGK..

Turn: ($4.35) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, UTG+1 calls $2.

"That king helped me" Now the question is, did it really help him?

River: ($8.35) 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3</font>

Good bet here, or am I spitting into the wind?

Limping would be fine. Raising this preflop is spewing. And the turn and river bets are spewing. I would prefer a check/call on the river to a bet. At least that might snap off a bluff from a missed straight draw.

Limp PF.

I bet $1.50 on the flop and if he doesn't go away I'm done with the hand.

I know. You had the best hand. And you were spewing.

Sorry, that wasn't meant to come across as an I told you so. I was just trying to complete the record as it were.

I appreciate the responses and will work to learn from them.

Oh I know. I was just pointing out that it was pretty obvious from the 'tone' of your initial post that he had folded. And I just wanted to stress that you shouldn't be results oriented and think that your bet won you the hand since he folded. You almost definitely had the best hand on the river here.

if youre ever going to think about making 55-88, TT, or JJ fold on the river, you need to bet more, at least 6

but yes, i think this is spewing, especially at micro-limits where i can see you getting called by a mid-pocket almost every time
