View Full Version : Party bonus semantics, what does this mean?

So I got that Party pop up...

Earn 16725 Regular Points between October 5th and October 31st and you can earn $545 in cash.

You have earned 0 regular points so far. You still have to earn 16725 regular points by October 31st to be eligible. Be sure you don't miss out!

So what the eff does this mean, I "can earn $545" and when I earn them I "will be eligible." So if I gets these points do I get this damn money or not?

I'm pretty sure once you earn your 16725th point, the money gets released to your account with no further restrictions. Have fun earning all those.

It sounds like a crappy offer, but considering each $500+ deposit gives you a 1000 points it's not a bad offer if you can make a few of these deposits. The wording of the offer is what makes me hesitant as to actually receiving the bonus money.

Don't waste your energy on even thinking about it - it's just not worth your time (the bonus, that is).

Raked days, refer-a-friends and deposits don't count towards clearing your bonus money. Only "regular" points count, which are points earned for raked hands and tourneys.

Oh, in that case, the bonus sucks. Prob works out to about a 15x-20x bonus.

It varies from game to game, with 15x-20x being a best-case scenario. Personally, mine worked out to 68x raked (NL). My buddies was somewhere around 40x raked (NL).

How can this be? I talked to Mike Sexton personally and he told me this was the best bonus offer in the industry.

This offer seems to vary. My pop up states: Earn 6290 Regular Points between October 5th and October 31st and you can earn $305 in cash. Support states these are "regular" points. Since 4 pts are given for each 20 raked hands, this equates to 31,450 RAKED hands. Good luck on this one. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Based on what happened to people here I decided not to sign up for their player's club. I hope that helps me avoid these types of offers in the future.

Was this always the case?? You have to PLAY the hand or be in the blinds in order for the hand to be considered raked?

I'm clearing my bonus at Party right now, and I don't need to contribute 1 cent to the pot for it to count as raked. At the $10 NL "beginners" tables about 60% of the hands count as raked. However I only see 20% of the flops. So their statement is not true, or not enforced. I cleared my initial deposit bonus the same way.

It doesn't mean YOU need to contribute a penny. It means that your share of the contributed rake must be at least a penny. In other words, if you're playing low-stakes no-limit, and the rake is $.08, and there are ten players dealt in, your share is onlye .008, which is less than one penny, it doesn't count towards your raked hands.

can you withdraw money from your party account before completing your required no. of raked hands and still be elgible for the bonus? I know from sorry experience before that you could not withdraw or the bonus became void.

i'm going to clear mine playing stt's. it works out to ~$9.50 per $30+3, or a little over 300% rakeback. right?
