You should watch the machinist because I have not seen it yet and thus, I might live vicariously through you.

Which Longest Yard? If its the new one, save yourself the time. Otherwise, go for the Carebears.

The House of Wax sucked. I'd go with Trainspotting, although I didn't think the Longest Yard was that bad. Not great, but not awful. It's worth a rental.

I'd pick house of wax just because the love of my life is in it.

I actually think The Bourne Identity is fantastic. Depends on the mood you're in. Trainspotting is also a must-see.

Hell, watch 'em both.

Holy crap! /images/graemlins/ooo.gif heard some great things about trainspotting but never got around to watching it although I really like movies like Requiem for a Dream.

This was ridiculously good.

Trainspotting is a really great movie. Comparing this movie to the others is like asking how many five year olds can Mike Tyson beat up.

Pay attention to the opening and closing monologues. If you're like lots of people, you'll remember them and still like them a lot years after the last time you see the movie. And you may either find yourself quoting them or wishing you remembered them to quote them.

Good mindless fun but a long way from fantastic. Very bad ending, too. Not that these movies are mean to be realistic, but you don't want things to get too cheesy in any movie, unless it's winking at the audience. This one isn't. Again, it's good light fun though, and I'd recommend it no problem, warts, low ambition, and all.

The Roger Ebert reviews of this one and its sequel are pretty good.
