1. How does my opponent normally play?

2. How is my opponent playing currently?

3. How do I react to this?

I know this is oversimplifying things, but its the truth. In the last couple of days, I have focused on playing a lot more HU on stars. It has helped my game remarkably.

It seems much simpler.

1. Figure out what your opponent has? (Hard)

2. Figure out the best mathematical play based on it. (Easy)

there is a reason i made this post so blunt. i played in a game yesterday that people were totally oblivious to what was going on at the table. every once in a while, it helps to review the fundamentals.
