It's pretty dumb to count prize money going to the person coming in last as money still in the prize pool as obviously, if you're heads up, none of the money that you leave out of the deal should go to second. This won't exactly cost anyone EV, but it will mean that the actual money you leave in play will be less than the money you say you're leaving in play by the amount that last place will get.
Just make sure you're aware of this before making a deal.
