Party was getting hosed by all the high volume players who play on the skins exclusively (due to the large rakeback % offered). This was party's perfect way to combat the other skins and increase revenue.

I know this screws the people that play 11 or more tables at a time.......

The real danger (for people playing 10 or less tables), is whether or not party will monopolize and raise the rake yet again.

I don't see how party will monopolize though, pokerstars has a large base of players that would have joined party already if they wanted to.

This is all assuming that rakeback still exists, which im fairly certain it does on party.

Now, the option for players to play -EV games such as black jack....... thats a whole different cup of tea that will likely have a small dose of poison inside it.

party is much less in control of this market than people think. i do not believe it has price setting power. if rake increases then i predict stars will have 100K+ users regularly within the next six months and party's growth will stagnate further.

Right, thats why I said that I don't see how party could monopolize.

So, I guess I should have questioned...... the impact the blackjack thing will have on us.

I don't really see why there is such a panic attack about this really (if indeed rakeback is still around).

Even more the multi table monsters, you can do party and stars cant you? Is party that much better than stars?
