Karnei Shomron victim was daughter of US immigrants
By Margot Dudkevitch
KARNEI SHOMRON (February 18) - 14 and half-year-old Keren Shatsky was the youngest daughter of Chava and Shabtai Shatsky, who made aliya from the US in 1984 and moved to Ginot Shomron in 1986.
On Saturday night she went to the local Yuvalim Mall in Karnei Shomron to meet friends, eat pizza, and talk. Since its opening six months ago, the mall has become a popular meeting place for local youth. But Shatsky's life was cut short by a suicide bomber, who detonated his explosives outside the pizzeria where men, women, and children were sitting enjoying their food just before 8 p.m.
