Where are the other 26000 people who played last weekend? did they jsut vanish or are they all posting in the Zoo?

This means nothing. Party was down all day. People planning on playing probably just did other [censored].

I'd wait for a bit instead of jumping to conclusions. My theory though: they all died in a plane crash.

Also, it's a long weekend. I assume lots of people went away for the weekend.

3:00 PM on a Sunday afternoon, and 50,000 seats are being filled at Party. By the end of next week, I'll bet they're back over 70,000 at peak hours. Of course, they'll be getting all of the rake then, instead of sharing it with their former skins.

I still think it was us multitablers being counted twice (or 3-4 times) and now we are only being counted once.

I guess El Diablo is the only person who ever believes anything that I say, but they haven't changed the way they count players.

The true number is the number of tables. If its says there are "48,865 players on 6,588 tables", then there are actually 6,588 tables. There are 48,865 seats being filled at those tables.

This is the most likely answer. (Not the plane crash).
If I was a casual player on party and it went down for hours I probably would go do something different for the rest of the night. Also even "pros" (using term loooosly) might have their whole rolls on party and went out or something instead of grinding.
